Ferryden is a quaint old fashioned, fishing village with a long history connected to seafaring. The village sits on the South side of the River South Esk opposite the town of Montrose in the county of Angus in Scotland.
Ferryden has a small store which is also the local post office and a hair dressing salon. There is also one local pub.Local buses run to Montrose where connections can be made to other bus and train services. Scurdyness lighthouse is only a 1km walk away and you can watch for seals on the sand bank and hopefully sight dolphins in the river and estuary. |
